Holmenkollen provided a worthy end to a historic and brilliant World Championship event. The sleddog sport has received a lot of high-rated profiling and a flying start on the next step of the way. The top managers concludes that the entire WCh 2011 has been a success.

The last day of the WCh offered all the exitement there is to be had in a championship when there's a relay race going on. Three Nordic countries brought the medals home.

Steinar Johansen from Nittedal has planned, worked and prepared for this weekend during most of the past two years. The outcome of it all far exceeded his wildest dreams.

Sweden has performed very well during the WCh in Holmenkollen. Five gold medals, four silver and one bronze is what they take with them after the last exercise is over - and the team leader is very proud of his team!

Three strong team fought intensely from the beginning to the finish line in today's relay race. In the end Norway 1 brought the gold medal home, followed by Sweden and Finland.

It is no secret that the Nordic countries have won many medals so far in this WCh. Today there are Relay races - and Norway has three teams on the start line!

Nordic style can take place with 1-4 dogs, however, it's most common to use 1-2 dogs. The participant skis behind the dogs and must be fully focused on him/herself and the dog(s). Today's WCh branch is Relay.

Today we witnessed intense competitions at the Holmenkollen arena, with speed and excitement from beginning to the end. Six new World Champions won their medals to big cheers from a large audience.
