Hamar Trekkhundklubb is pleased to welcome all mushers to the World Championships at Hamar Sled Dog Racing Arena 17 - 20 March 2011.

Hamar Sled Dog Racing Arena is located in the municipality of Hamar  about 100 miles north of Oslo, Norway's capital. The arena is located in a snowy area of Norway, and many Norwegian and foreign mushers prefer this area to prepare for major competitions. This arena, with its unique network of trails for dog racing, is the only one of its kind in Norway.

Hamar Trekkhundklubb has extensive experience in organizing sled dog races at a national and international level. Last major international championship was the European Championships in 2005, where 241 mushers from 15 nations and nearly a 1000 dogs met the great competition days at Hamar Sled Dog Racing Arena.

Hamar Trekkhundklubb is proud to welcome you to WCh 17 - 20 March 2011.

The following distances will take place in Hamar:

Sled sprint:

6-dog teams, 3 days, of 12 km
Open class (more than 8 dogs) 3 days of 24 km 

Junior (14-16 years)
4-dog teams, 3 days of 8 km

Mid distance:
6-dog teams, 3 days of 42 km
12-dog teams, 3 days of 42 km

It will be competed in these following classes.

A: All dogs
B: All pure breed dogs (except pointing dogs and Siberian Huskies)
C: Siberian Husky 

For each group there will be one winner across the 3 days accumulated.
