Participant Information - Nordic Style

Within Nordic Style there will be competitions in Pulka, Skijoring, Combined and Relay. Rules from IFSS apply to all athletes/teams and can be found following this link.

The following competitions will take place in Nordic Style:

Pulka: Individual start, 15/17 km (Women/Men)

Skijoring: Individual start, 15 / 17 km (Women/Men)

Pulka / Skijoring Junior: Individual start 10 km

Combined senior: 7,5 x 2 Mass Start

Combined junior:  5 x 2  Mass Start

Combined races will go in little loops or rounds near the arenas to be as accessible as possible to the audience and provide action up close.

There are also plans for live TV transmission from the event in Holmenkollen/Oslo.





The Holmenkollen/Oslo arena is at present being reconstructed and is thus a construction site, and there is therefore little presentation material available for introduction of the ski arena that is to be used. This arena will be properly presented as soon as it is available. We will be using the international ski arena as starting and finishing area during the WCh. This area is right next to the new Holmenkollen Ski Jump, which is currently being built. The trails to be used are loops of various lengths located in the areas near the ski jump. The trails will be about 9 metres wide. There will be a 50cm layer of artificial snow in the trails through the winter.
